“I am pleased that we managed to get the win which is most important because our aim was always to stay in a good position before we face tougher opponents in the upcoming legs”, explained Coach Nova.

“With two big wins yesterday and today’s victory over Ampang Jaya, I am confident that we can challenge for the title this year although our initial target was to only finish in the top 3. Each team in this division has their own strengths, so it is difficult to predict the outcome”, he added.

In the morning session, Bandar Maharani BC continued their winning start to life in JPL Division 1 as they narrowly edged Ampang Jaya BC 10-9. Defending champions, Petaling BC had no problem overcoming Puchong United BC 12-4 as Rawang BC recorded a 10-8 win over Kepong BC.

Meanwhile in Division 2, Bangsar Hawks stayed rooted at the bottom of the table after a heavy 15-2 defeat to JPL newcomers, Amanjaya BC. Subang BC continue to lead the pack at the end of the JPL2017 first leg with their 100 percent record still intact after a hard fought 9-7 win over Bukit Gambir BC.
